Currently, Yemen is suffering from the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. With over 24 million people, 80% of the population is in need of humanitarian assistance. Since 2015 conflict between the Sunni majority government and the Shia minority Houthi's have caused the nation to spiral into a humanitarian crisis. Saudi led air strikes, weaponizing of humanitarian aid and the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened the conditions inside of Yemen. Luckily, UNICEF in partnership with many local organizations are fighting for the rights of Yemeni children.
